I am humbled and honor to serve you, and I take my responsibility as Yoga Therapist seriously. In return, I ask for your cooperation and a commitment to doing some home practice. My approach to Yoga Therapy is to empower you to take an active role in your journey to healing.
Intake and Assessment
Our work together begins with a formal Intake and 90-minute Assessment Session. Intake and Assessment are essential to the Yoga Therapy process, a time for information gathering and to develop the client-therapist relationship. During the Assessment Session I evaluate posture, range-of-motion, and body and breath awareness, and allow time for questions and discussion to help clarify your goals. You will leave the Assessment with preliminary practices to work on at home. After integrating the Intake and Assessment, I will provide you with a personalized Yoga Therapy Treatment Plan to meet your goals, in consideration of the time you are able to commit to home practice.
I recommend we follow-up after the Assessment to practice, refine, and build upon the elements of your Yoga Therapy Treatment Plan. Follow-up sessions range from 60- to 75-min. Because each person is unique, the number and frequency of follow-up sessions may vary from person to person. I commit to working with you to develop a long-term plan for Yoga Therapy to enhance your healing.
