Navigating menopause can bring physical, emotional, and energetic challenges — from hot flashes and fatigue to mood swings and joint stiffness. Yoga offers tools to ease these transitions and restore balance.
In this monthly series, women gather in community to practice yoga asana, breathwork, mudra, mantra, guided meditation, and deep relaxation. Sessions support common symptoms of perimenopause and post-menopause in a safe, nourishing environment.
Space is limited. Pre-registration recommended. Bring a mat if you have one; props are provided.
2026 dates coming soon…
Grief teaches us that everything is impermanent. The more fiercely we love, the more intensely we grieve when a loved one is lost. Grief affects us physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically, and spiritually. Unfortunately, Western culture coaxes us to grieve quickly, to hide our grief, or to ignore it. Too often, our emotions become stuck in the body, and we need tools to remove blocks and to help us process our grief.
Yoga for Grief & Loss offers simple tools to manage the symptoms of grief. Classes draw upon the principles and practices of yoga to stretch and strengthen the body, regulate the nervous system, and manage the mood. Each session incorporates movement, postures, breath, mudra, mantra, and guided meditation. No prior yoga experience is necessary. Small groups offer a safe and supportive environment.
Birdsong Yoga Therapy strongly recommends waiting at least 3 months after a significant, death-related loss before participating in the series.
The series meets in the Smiley Building in Durango, CO. Pre-registration is required, and space is limited to 8 participants. Additional details will be provided upon registration.

You have made a HUGE and positive difference in the quality of my life with Sjogren's Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. I went from barely being able to complete a 60 min Yin Yoga class without writhing in pain to thriving in three 2-hr Yin Yoga practices a week. Thank you for changing my life back to health.

Since my brain tumor surgery in 2013, I have struggled with anxiety and pain. Lynn’s yoga therapy has helped me to exercise proper breathing when trying to calm one’s self and work the muscles in my back properly to make up for weakened areas.
